Understanding the application

Everything you need to know about submitting your OneApp Guarantee application

Submitting your OneApp Guarantee application is quick and easy. It takes less than 5-minutes to complete and you'll know if you're approved instantly – here's what you can expect.

⚠️ Please Note: If you are a renter who was not referred to OneApp Guarantee by a participating property, you will not be able to apply.

About the Application

  • It's 100% free: Unlike most co-signers or guarantors, we don't require a fee just to apply and see if you qualify. We know that by the time you reach us, you've already paid at least one property's application fee (maybe more), and those fees add up. Unnecessary upfront expenses make it harder to access housing, so our application is always free.
  • It doesn't impact your credit: We're all about fresh starts, but know that's impossible to do if your credit score is getting wrecked by multiple hard checks. That's why we only do a soft credit pull – it won't impact your credit or be visible to anyone but you.

Submitting the Application

Once a participating property refers you to OneApp Guarantee, you'll receive a welcome email from us with a link to to setup your account and apply.

💡 Good to Know:  If you haven't received a welcome email, please check you SPAM/junk folders and confirm with the property that they submitted your referral.

The application has three parts: Personal Info, Household, and Review. Here's a breakdown of what to expect in each section.

Personal Info

For the Personal Information portion of the application, you'll tell us a little bit about yourself, providing:

  • Basic information, like your first and last name, address, and phone number.
  • Standard demographic information, like your age range, relationship status, gender, etc.
  • Employment information, like your current employer and start date.
  • Rental history information, like any prior evictions, broken leases, etc.

Household

For the Household portion of the application, you'll add any co-applicants (if applicable).

💡 Good to Know: Co-applicants are any people 18 years of age or older who will live in the home with you, even if they aren't financially responsible for the lease.

Review

For the Review portion of the application, you'll do just that – review the information you've provided and make any adjustments or corrections before submitting.

Once you've confirmed all the information that you provided is correct, you'll provide your date of birth, social security number, and digital signature, authorizing us to run a soft credit inquiry as part of our approval process – but don't worry, it doesn't impact your credit
