How to track the status of a referral

Stay updated on your referrals and track applicant's progress

Once you've referred an applicant to OneApp Guarantee, we keep you in the loop every step of the way. While you can always check the status of a referral in your OneApp Guarantee account, we also send notification emails at key milestones throughout the process, so you're always informed when an applicant has applied, been approved, or completed their guarantee agreement.

How We Keep You Updated

  • Email Notifications: You'll receive referral confirmations and status updates, as well as a copy of the guarantee agreement and receipt of payment once the applicant has completed the process.
  • In-Platform Tracking: If you ever need to check the status of a referral, you can log in to your OneApp Guarantee account at any time and view all referral updates in one place.

Status Guide

Here's what each referral status means, so you always know where they stand:

  • New: The applicant has been referred but has not started their application.
  • Incomplete: The applicant has started but not finished their application.
  • Background Check: The applicant's background check is being processed.
  • Pending Payment: The applicant was approved but has not paid their co-signing fee.
  • Agreement Issued: The applicant has completed all required steps and their lease is now backed by OneApp Guarantee.
  • Denied: The applicant didn't meet the eligibility requirements for OneApp Guarantee.
  • Cancelled: The referral is no longer active because it was cancelled during the process.
  • Default: A default claim was submitted and paid out for the applicant.
  • Expired: The referral is no longer active because the applicant didn't authorize a background check within the required timeframe (≤ 90 days).
  • Expired Income: The referral is no longer active because the applicant's income verification is no longer valid (≤ 30 days).
